Regina Browning, Assistant Director
Regina Browning became the principal of Adult & Community Education School in July 2013 and she has been providing opportunities and innovative solutions to the challenges students face ever since. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. She is certified in political science, social science and as a school principal.
Ms. Browning brings experience at all levels of public education to her job from elementary, high school and now adult education. She began her career in education as a social science teacher in Gadsden County. After eight years of teaching she served as an assistant principal for nine years. She was principal at Bond Elementary before coming to ACE. Ms. Browning oversees the school’s GED, English-ESOL, Adult High School and High School Credit Recovery programs.
Principal Browning enjoys working with the best teachers and administrators at ACE and Leon County whose primary interest is the students they serve. Her staff elected her as the Glenn Howell Distinguished Educator of the Year for 2019-20. She is known for saying, “Good, better, best. Never let it rest, ‘til your good is better and your better is best.”
She is a native of Havana, FL and the youngest of ten siblings. Ms. Browning loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. When she’s not rooting for her favorite team, the FAMU Rattlers, she is serving the community with her sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc.
